Letter To The School Principal

15 Ben Gurion street
Ramat Gan
November 1, 2013

Mr. Adar Arad.
School principal.
Kugel high school.
1 Mote Gur street,
Holon, Israel.

Dear Mr. Arad,

I have recently heard that you expel from school students who disrupt the lesson, after the second warning. I would like to tell you that I don't agree with the way you punish your students, and in my letter I am going to present my reasons.

When a student receives his punishment, suspended from school, he thinks that the punishment is too easy for him. The student enjoys a day off from school. In my opinion, this punishment is not significant enough for him and he does not care. You must punish him in a way he understands what he has done, and how wrong it is. I think that a student must be punished in order to learn a lesson and then he will not do it anymore. For example, cleaning the classes or lifting chairs in the classrooms are great ways to punish them, because they hate it, students hate staying at school until late.

In addition, I also think that if the students would be in the teacher's shoes they would understand what they had done was wrong, and they would feel very ashamed . For example, if the teacher stops her lesson, and asks the student to teach the class the material, he would be ashamed and he would not know what to do. That is also a great punishment because now, the student pays for what he has done and it embarrasses him.

In conclusion, I recommend to use my punishments for students who disturb the teacher during the lesson.

Yours truly,

Marry Smith.

This is much better. Well done!!

Talent Vs. Hard Work

The definition of success in life is different from one to another; it depends on how people consider what success in their life is. Success depends on two criterions. The first is talent and the second is hard work. In my opinion, success in life depends more on hard work.

If you're blessed with a talent, that is good for you, but you can't succeed without hard work.
Thanks to hard work you can develop life skills and overcome challenges and difficulties, that talented people can't do. Namely, talented people usually trust their talent to succeed in life and to overcome difficulties. For example, students who give an effort for a Math exam, will succeed more than the students who trust their knowledge and intelligence. It has been proven in experiments – the one who invests will get a higher grade.

Although talent helps to succeed, without hard work it is not the same. People will appreciate themselves more if they work hard, because they will see, at the end of the day, that all the hard work was worth it and they got good results. Although the way to success is agonizing, you feel very proud in yourself and want to succeed more and more. For example, a runner who is not blessed with agility and then practices a lot, at the end of the day, will succeed more than someone that has agility but hasn't practiced.

In conclusion, hard work is the key to success and without hard work, you will keep trusting your talents and you will not be able to be successful. Even if you're blessed with a talent you must work hard in order to achieve your goals.

Much better. Good work!
